How to Block Reddit r/popular and r/all
To block r/popular and r/all without blocking Reddit, install Blockodile for Chrome or Firefox, open the Block List tab, and switch on the Reddit r/popular section. Leave reddit.com off your block list. Both front pages stop opening and their navigation links are hidden, while the subreddits you actually subscribe to keep working.

Why people turn Reddit r/popular off
- + r/popular and r/all are the parts of Reddit you never chose: an algorithmic firehose of whatever is loudest today.
- + The subreddits you subscribed to are the ones you decided were worth your time. The front page is the opposite of that decision.
- + Blocking reddit.com entirely also cuts off the niche communities most people actually came for.
